Inside the Nimble Sketch brand

Last week, I made the decision to stop using my name as my brand and instead start calling the shop Nimble Sketch.

What does this mean?

Well instead of just using my name, by using a different brand I can add future designers or developers on the team in the future.

Nimble: /ˈnimbəl/: adjective: quick and light in movement or action; agile. + Sketch: /skeCH/: noun: a rough or unfinished drawing or painting, often made to assist in making a more finished picture.

In the fonts I design, I like the more “rough” handmade look, so sketch seemed like a natural choice. As for nimble, I consider our products light and playful (rather than Times New Roman serious).

Rebranding the brand

As you probably saw in the images, I redid all the “cover” photos for the products and tried to get a universal look for all of them. I think I achieved this in the Nimble Sketch icon in the bottom right corner.

New products

Coming with a new brand are new products! Last week, Elevation was released and I’m in love with it- so much that it’s the font in the logo.

Later next week, a new font is coming too! Stay tuned for that.

Gumroad or Creative Market?

Why not both? I started on Creative Market and I want to stay on their platform. However, from a business standpoint they take 30% of all revenue. Meanwhile, on Gumroad it’s 5% + 25 cents.

Simply put, Gumroad takes 60 cents while Creative Market takes $3.
